Off The Page is a relaxed night of play readings designed to bring you diverse new writing read by local, professional actors. From established to emerging writers, we have some amazing talent in our community. Every other month you’ll be able to hear brand new work with an opportunity to give the writers your feedback.
This month: Sham by Rebekah Harvey
Karim and Sara are Tunisian siblings. Karim serves drunk tourists at an all-inclusive hotel, while Sara translates Arabic for the British Ambassador. When warehouse worker Liz shows up, lonely, middle-aged, expecting to meet her young online lover face-to-face, the three clash in a painful exploration of power, gender, and what it means to be British.
