Shop Safe Radios – Live
8th April 2019
Penge SE20 BID launched the ‘Town Link’ radio system in Penge on Thursday March 14th.
It created a buzz amongst retailers and a several shoppers stopped in the pouring rain and high winds to ask what Shop Safe was all about.
The Shop Safe radio provides instant communication between retailers, licensed premises, centre management, CCTV and the police. It is linked to the CCTV control centre in Bromley Civic Centre which operates 24 hours 7 days a week.
Businesses can share information about theft or antisocial behaviour and the system in Penge was used straight away to alert emergence services following a road traffic accident. It has also been used this week to alert retailers about shoplifters in the area. The licensees are also on board with the project.
All Penge SE20 BID Levy payers are eligible for a discount, meaning a radio will cost your business just £10 per month. If this is of interest contact the BID Manager Zoe Brown via email
